Louisville Conservatory of Nfusic DEPARTMENT OF VIOLIN . For entrance into the Freshman Class, students must be able to satisfactorily play the major scales through two octaves, played four notes to a bow, moderate tempo, in the first and third positions 5 an Etude of Kayser, or Wolfahrt, and a solo combining the first and third positions. The student will be classified on the correct manner of holding violin and bow, intonation and quality of tone. An outline of the academic work follows: l RESHMAN YEAR, 32 semester hour credits.
