Registration Late in August we began to receive notices in the maii that forewarned us of the coming events of that inevitable day -- registration. Mrs. Welch, Mike Dunn, and Charlie McCall all went to great lengths to outline for us what we could expect and the precise time to be there. Even though no one told us whether we needed new crayons, glue, or scissors, we felt pretty well pre- pared. There was only about 3 + chaos, with no signs of emotion- al shock during the entire day. The biggest surprise was the strange appearance of several fuzzy- headed fellows who somewhat resembled the dancing bear on Captain Kangaroo, but looked more like Mike Dunn, Eddie Wood, Charlie McCall, Chuck Stoer, and Ron Ellis. Then there were Johnny Gregorio and Alan Kennedy, but they had always looked like that. Amid all the trials of registration and speeches on the importance of getting involved in the activi ties of a medical school, one piece of advice stayed with us - Charlie Black's famous com- ment as Activities Chairman, Everybody else has been telling you all morning to get involved, l just want you to get down!
