COUNSELING REHABILITATICN sianions Rehab. Counseling is intended to prepare. counselors to work in community, public and private rehabilitation and human service agencies, such as rehab. centers, sheltered workshops, hospitals and transitional living agencies. Rehab. counselors are concerned with psychological, social, vocational and educational problems of persons unable to function as independently as possible because of some type of disability. The rehab. counselor calls upon a variety of knowledge and skills in approaching these prob- lems from both intrapsychic and environmental manipula- tion perspectives.
