Schnnlt word dorm. Along with the meals together, pro- jects and places to assem- ble, the residents work as a unit within the Greek house, whether by circum- stances or by choice. With the many friends all living under the same roof a parts atmosphere may seem to prevail. The Greek house rooms are small and washing machines are provided. But moving off campus can frequently enter the mind. Those persons accepting the responsibilit or wishing the pnvac tend to venture to do so. The apartment turns out to be the home away from the family home. You are blessed with payments, cooking, and sometimes the notice from your roommate that he is moving out. The conveniences of the dorm room consists of three electrical outlets for a two-student room, enough closet space for a racoon coat, one pair of galoshes, one stuffed Jaws, and a few unsalable books. The dorm is also furnished with bathrooms, burners and washing machines. Some of the washers are even in the same building as the resi- dents. One dorm found the bathroom usually filled with construction workers doing renovations. In the move from the dorm to a Greek house, one will encounter a considerable difference in living condi- tions. The houses are appealing with their un- littered lawns.
