The Phi Chi barn dance, one of ihe year's mosi' colorful functions, was given rusiic seiiing. Ind I J'-I In New Orleans the medicos spend four years of intensive study, interspersed with a few gay week-ends fapproximately 52 annuallyj. Most of the future doctors are a serious lot, having sown their oats during pre-med years. A few fresh- men, however, try to mix coeds and cadavers, but generally these are things of the past fthe cadaversj. The first two years of study are spent in pre-clinical subjects, and having racked each course in succession, the student proceeds to the clinical subjects including observation of patients, disease diagnosis, and the pursuit of the elusive bedside mannerf' The Frosh-Soph Ball afop the Jung Hotel was a feaiure of +he Tiger- Tulane +iI+.
