IN MEMORY OF ROBERT BABINGTON BROCK F nANKL1N1'oN, LOUISIANA who graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences in I926, and who was a junior in the Law School at the time of his death. Mr. Brock was a very popu- lar student and his esteemed character left an indelible memory upon those that knew him. He was vice-president of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, a Dagger, and a member of the Seab- bard and Blade.

'Sk' 010 'bivatv'-is 'btvvtwis 'Sit' '30 His EXCELLENCY HENRY Luce F UQUA Lalc Governor of the Sovereign Slate of Louisiana Several decades ago while Ye Ole War Slcule was struggling in its infancy, Henry Luce Fuqua entered at the youthful age of ten, the youngest student ever to enroll in the University. Before he graduated, even before he reached his majority, he cut short his college career to become an assistant engineer in railroad building. Within a few years he formed the hardwarebusiness that now bears his name, and which was the beginning of a successful career. In recognition of this business ability he was made manager of the State Penitentiary where the plans developed in the management have been received as one of the best systems in this country. When state politics were torn with dissensions Mr. Fuqua was chosen as the conserva- tive candidate for governor and he was duly elected. During his short period as state executive he led in all efforts for the upbuilding of the state. At all times Henry Fuqua remembered his Alma Mater. He was one of the greatest fans that ever watched the purple and gold strive against a foe. Through his devoted efforts generous appropriations for furthering the development of Louisiana State University were made. The life of the Governor will serve as an inspiration to the youths of our common- wealth. '
