The memorable David Hamilton, lawyer of Louisiana School, lectured the students on Saturday, October 29. .1-21. 21532 fy 1 , V-tx, Harold Pluimer, a futurist, answers students' question on an individual basis following his speech. On February 10, he spoke of our place in the future. Joshua Logan, a native of Louisiana, spoke to the students on Thursday, january, 16. He talked of his career as a playwirght and producer and told several lengthy anecdotes. George Walter addressed the fine arts students on Friday, March 16, and talked to all students the next day. His topic was The American Hero. He gave a superb dramatic interpretation of Casey at the Bat. His style prevented many students from dozing off. , ' f,.y-w-fe- ' s We WWW

On April 25, Master Sergeant Steve Krestian of Shreveport spoke about different types of motivation. As a special privilege, LSMSA stu- dents were invited to attend Rev. Jes- se jackson's campaign speech for Democratic Presidential candidate prior to Louisiana primaries. Many students were impressed with Jack- son's style of delivery. Guest Speakers LSMSA has had a unique selection of guest speakers this year. Generally, the speakers talk on either Thursday or Saturday morning, giving a brief question and answer session by allowing students to raise their hands in the assembly or answering questions on an individual basis after the assembly is dismissed. Some of the speakers were stimulating, while others were sleep-inducing. Several of this year's speakers were: Roger Taylor spoke to the students on Saturday, September 10, about two personality types: CS fConcrete Sequentialj and RR tRandom Romanticl. This provided a topic of conversation for newly-made friends. On Saturday, October 29, Robert Malone, a futurist, spoke to us about his views of what will happen in the next few years. He also analyzed trends. Malone showed us a breath-taking display of robotic arms from the future world of robotics. On january 6, Ralph Perleman from the State Budget Office sopke on the history of Louisiana's economy. Perleman, who finalizes the school's budget explained to the students how the funds are allocated. Steve Morgan, another personality analyzer spoke on January 7. Personalities were evaluated on the basis of D fDominancej, I Qlnfluencing of othersj, S QSteadinessJ, and C QComplianceJ. Reg Carter, from the Educational Testing Service spoke on Tuesday, April 24 about testing and how test scores are related to college acceptance. The speech provided the students with a sense of relief.

Mr. Horace Butler and Ioan Turner- McGlade play Santa's helpers at the Christmas dance. Craig Escude and Libby Pellegrin are ready to paint the town on the night of the Sadie Hawkins dance. W .X --M. A ,,y One can never have too much fun, as Beth Williams and Stephen Speights show the crowd how to really dance. The Christmas Dance was a memorable night for everyone especially the slow dances.
