Fully accredited by the Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools of the Southern States, Louisi¬ ana Tech confers four degrees: bachelor of account¬ ing, bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, and bache¬ lor of music. The grounds of the college comprise a campus of 104 acres within the city of Ruston, a tract of 29 acres adjacent to the campus, and the demonstration farm of the School of Agriculture and Forestry consisting of 352 acres situated about a half mile from the campus. The college buildings number a total of 40. Tech reached a peak in enroll¬ ment in the fall of 1956 when 3,012 students, 2,150 male and 862 female, registered at the college. 23
