“Tech Drills for Victory ’ second place float in homecoming parade, entered by Wesley Foundation. HOMECOMING Tech homecoming was celebrated with a well-round¬ ed program of activities which included a morning coffee for alumni in Adams parlor, the traditional pa¬ rade through down-town Ruston with nineteen organi¬ zations participating, the Tech-Southeastern football game, a business meeting and barbecue for alumni, the fraternity and sorority open houses, and a dance in Memorial gymnasium featuring Hal McIntyre and his orchestra. The homecoming queen and her court, chosen by the “T” Club, were presented at the game. Gail Gleason , homecoming maid Alpha Chi Omega sorority entered the third place float in home¬ coming parade. Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity float takes first place

Christmas formal, with music by Freddy Martin and his Coeds examine Christmas cards at party for dormitory girls, orchestra. CHRISTMAS AT TECH Highlighting Christmas activities on Tech campus is the annual candle¬ lighting service held in Howard auditorium. Other festivities of the season in¬ clude an open house at the president’s home, Christmas displays entered by various campus organizations, yuletide parties, the Campus Women’s Council pajama party, caroling, and the Christmas concert and dance, which this year featured Freddy Martin and his orchestra. Campus decorations included a Christmas tree in the middle of the campus and individual dormitory decorating. Next page, top: Sorority party for child at orphanage.
