Vice-President. Auline Peevy. Secretary and Treasurer. Vivienne Cook . Musician. Annie Marry . Historian. CLASS POEM, ’09 ’Twas only a few short years ago That they entered the L. I. I. With looks that were timid and steps that were slow P»ut with hopes and ambitions high. And then as they passed from day to day Back and forth in the long dim halls, Their joyous laughter chased dull cares away And they loved the old Institute walls. And now—that those glad, happy days are past, Those days which we all loved so well. We gather once more—for the laurel at last. And to bid good-bye ere we go. We turn, then, to see if each is here. Each happy, familiar face. But we find some have left ns year by year And there’s many an empty place. L util, in the class of Naught-Nine and a half, We number but twenty-four, But each one is ready to take up his stafif And go on life ' s journey once more.
