DEDICATION “My most memorable moment was when our principal asked me not to retire.” -Mrs. Priscilla Giltner Look at that southern smile. Mrs. Giltner instucting one of her many English classes. Mrs. Priscilla Giltner was a faculty member at L.H.S. for twenty-five years. She spent her time teaching many English courses. Mrs. Giltner attended Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. She holds a bachelor of science in English education and a Master of Arts in speech degree. Mrs. Giltner has sponsored the National Honor Society and Future Teachers of America during her years of L.H.S. She has appreciated the support that her family has given her throughout her years teaching. Mrs. Giltner is married to Mr. Donald E. Giltner. They have three daughters and one son. Many people appreciate the help and support Mrs. Giltner has given them. We hope that the many years to come are memorable for her. Mrs. Giltner relaxing at home. Mr. Mahabir and Mrs. Giltner stop to say “Hello.”

A year to ... Remember The school year of 1986-87 was definitely a year to be remembered. That was the year of ISS, Swatches, Guess clothing, Bon Jovi, The New Van Halen, and bleached jeans. Students still ran to class seconds before the bell rang (and still got eighth hours.) They wrote on the bathroom walls, and spent their weekends cruising Georgia with friends. For most, L.H.S. would remain their second home for a while longer, but the senior class of ’87 was counting down to “Graduation” when L.H.S. would just be a memory. 1987 would be a year never forgotten ... by any of us. DEDICATION After thirty years at L.H.S., Mr. Ed Blais retired at the end of the 1987 school year. Blais was raised and graduated from high school in New London, Connecticut. He started college at the Norwich Institute in Vermont. Then he transferred to the University of Connecticut, where he played college football. After serving in the Air Force for four years, he attended Central Missouri State U. and received his bachelor and masters degree of science and education. While at L.H.S. he coached girls’ basketball, he was the assistant boys’ basketball coach, assistant track coach, and assistant football coach from 1957-1968. He was also athletic director his last three years. Blais has also sponsored the “L” club, and for his last twenty years at L.H.S. he sponsored classes with Mrs. Jane Henry. Mr. Blais has given many things to this school. We hope the years to come reward him well. Mr. Blais with Coach Cunningham on the practice field.
