Mr. Jon Larson teaches world history, American history, and pshchology. He serves as assistant football and track coach and is also the instructor for drivers’ education. Mr. Larson attended Central Missouri State University and received his B.S. degree in education. He has taught at L.H.S. for 11 years. Mr. Calvin Jesberg teaches civics, geography, economics, and American history. He is also assistant coach for football and he coaches girls’ basketball. Mr. Jesberg attended Quincy College and received B.A. degrees in history and political science. This is his second year at L.H.S. Mr. Tony Gschwender is the P.E. teacher at L.H.S. He has taught here for 15 years and has also been head coach of the football team for nine years. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and received his B.S. and Master’s in Education. 12

Mrs. Judy Green is the high school librarian. She is also a senior class sponsor. Mrs. Green attended the University of Nebraska and Emporia State University. She received her B.A. in English and M.A. in Library Science. Mrs. Green has taught at L.H.S. for four years, and a total of seven years. Miss Delores Davis has spent 21 years in the district as a school teacher. She teaches English I A and English I B. Miss Davis attended NMSU at Kirksville, where she received her B.S. and M.A. degrees. Mrs. Imogene Behringer has taught at L.H.S. for 13 years. She attended Drury College, UMSL, Culver-Stockton, and is now attending UMC. Mrs. Behringer teaches Accounting I, Accounting II, and typing this year at L.H.S. 11 Mrs. Behringer is caught eating during food class.

Mrs. Sally Keithley has been teaching at L.H.S. for 18 years. She teaches math and French. She attended UMC where she earned an A.B. degree in mathematics. Mrs. Keithley sponsors the sophomore class and the French Club. At right, Mrs. Gay is shown working very hard. L.H.S. math teacher Barbara Gay attended the University of Illinois. She teaches consumer math, geometry, and Algebra I. She has taught at L.H.S. for seven years. Mrs. Gay is also a sophomore class sponsor. Barbara G. Duffee teaches functional math and pre-algebra at L.H.S. She has taught here for two years., and a total of four years. Miss Duffee attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where she received her B.S. in education. 13
