Mr. Dale Miller teaches Introduction to Biology, Introduction to Computers, and Intermediate science. This is Mr. Miller’s first year at L.H.S. He attended Michigan State University, where he received a B.S. degree. He earned an M.A. degree from Wayne State University. Mr. David Hunter has taught at L.H.S. for 24 years. He teaches physical science, biology, chemistry, and physics. Mr. Hunter attended MU where he received his B.S. degree and he also attended NMSU where he received his M.A. degree. Mr. A1 Matzes teaches life science, and is also the boys’ basketball coach. This is his first year at L.H.S. He earned a B.S. degree from Missouri Western State College. He has been teaching for 10 years. 9

Mrs. Cindy Logan is the art teacher at L.H.S. She teaches Art I-IV. She attended William Woods College, where she received a B.A. degree. She is currently working on her M.A.T. in communications. This is her third year at L.H.S. Mrs. Cheryl Shaw is the Home Economics teacher. She teaches family meals, world foods, independent living, consumer education, health human development, and Clothing I II. Mrs. Shaw is also a senior class sponsor. She has a B.S. degree in Education. She has taught at L.H.S. for four years and a total of ten years. Mr. Don Hamilton is the band, allied arts, and choir instructor here at L.H.S. He has been here for two years. Besides his classes he also organizes and directs school musicals. He attended Northeast Missouri State University, where he earned his B.M.E. and M.A. degrees. He is shown here with music students Denton Mitcham and Shawn Sitton. Mrs. Shaw and Mrs. Keithley really enjoy lunch duty.

Mrs. Anita St. Pierre is the special services teacher, and serves as the assistant coach of the girls’ basketball team. Mrs. St. Pierre attended Lindenwood College and the University of Illinois, and has B.S. and M.S. Degrees. She has taught at L.H.S. for five years. This is Mrs. Virgina Reid’s first year at L.H.S. She teaches special services and is a freshman class sponsor. Her B.S.E. and M.A. degrees are both from NMSU. She has been teaching for 18 years. Mrs. Ruth Wood has taught at L.H.S. for three years as a teacher’s assistant, working in the Special Education dept. Mrs. Wood attended Central Missouri State and holds a B.S. in Education. 10
