A year to ... Remember The school year of 1986-87 was definitely a year to be remembered. That was the year of ISS, Swatches, Guess clothing, Bon Jovi, The New Van Halen, and bleached jeans. Students still ran to class seconds before the bell rang (and still got eighth hours.) They wrote on the bathroom walls, and spent their weekends cruising Georgia with friends. For most, L.H.S. would remain their second home for a while longer, but the senior class of ’87 was counting down to “Graduation” when L.H.S. would just be a memory. 1987 would be a year never forgotten ... by any of us. This year’s season was one of the best ever. The team that everyone had faith in made it all the way. After day in and day out of grueling practices, the guys were thankful for the coaches that pushed them until they dropped. At the beginning of the season it was wondered if our team would be as good as past years, since we had lost so many previous players. (HOW COULD WE DOUBT OUR GUYS?!) Roger Walker, running back, dodges a Seneca opponent who is headed straight for him. Congratulations 19 68 Thanks to the coaches who pushed our guys to strive to be their best, we had a fantastic team. A winning team also takes members who can work together. That’s what the L.H.S. Bulldogs did ... played as one. Of course it couldn’t have happened without the fan’s support. Through rain and snow, they witnessed the Bulldog’s climb to the top. The dedication of the fans, players, and coaches was wonderful. CHAMPS 86 Bulldogs!! Coach Gschwender watches with anticipation as a play is completed.
