Not Just A Parade This year's Homecoming parade was more than a parade. It symbolized hope and effort. The parade was the beginning of the end of a week of fervent activity combined with arguments and hard work. The parade gave the underclassmen a chance to learn to work together and to prove themselves. The seniors enjoyed one last chance to work with each other and to do something as a group. The parade summarized the week of expectation by the students and the faculty, and the passage of another homecoming for many of the graduates. 20

Homecoming 1972 During Homecoming week this year every one was given ample opportunity to express their views on Homecoming through the skits, floats, and dress days. The overall opinion of Homecoming, however, was communicated best by the smiles and laughter in the halls and by the spirits that ran high. 19

A Queen And Her Court This year, as each year, the football players chose one girl to reign as queen of the Homecoming game. Miss Cynthia Lee Campbell was chosen this year’s queen. Homecoming was the happiest moment of my life--I'll remember that night forever. Escorts: Kevin Tedlock, Larry Stoops, Joe McMahill, Alfred Turner, Jon Cunningham, and Brad Fountain. Queen candidates: Alberta Jameison, Cindy Campbell, and Susan Todd. Attendants: Dawn Poor, Benita Madison, and Laurie Swenson. 21
