As this country progressed, the need for education for all became more pro- nounced, for here was an experiment in the eyes of the worlu where people ruled themselves. In order for people to be wise in matters of what is just and good for all. they must be taught the importance of each in a free society. To make this a better place for all to live, each must learn to do his share, to contribute his time and wealth, to help those in need, to denounce that which is wrong, to build, and to progress.
