- ■ 2 Foreword High school days pass quickly and records are written on the pages of time and memory. We, the 1965 CIRCLE staff, have tried to preserve the places and persons we have loved for the past four years. We hope that in these pages will be reserved a pictorial record of our studies, our sports, our activities, and our unforgettable memories. We also hope that it will bring joy to all who remember the Class of 1965. These memories of our lives at Louisburg High School will always be loved and will remain etched in the hearts of every one of us. IN LOVING MEMORY ALEXANDER WILLIAM WILSON Beloved Classmate and Friend (November 21, 1946-August 16, 1960) AWAY I cannot say, and I will not say That he is dead. He is just away! With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand, He has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since he lingers there. And you- -oh you, who the wildest yearn For the old time step and the glad return- - Think of him faring on, as dear In the love of There as the love of Here. Mild and gentle, as he was brave, With the sweetest love of his life he gave. The touches of his hands have strayed As reverently as his lips have prayed.
