August September October November December January CALENDAR School stafted w1th an' absence of many boys around our campus. J. F. Page, who returned home on a short furlough made a talk in Chapel Sept. 25, 1942, on his experience in the Army. Scrap Iron Drive started - - good excuse to get out of class--also plenty of scrap iron was collected Had our first six weeks exams and were they tough! Received our report cards and were we proud of them???? Lewis Players presented Uwings Over Amer ice? The play gave a good- example of what might happen if we talk too much. No school--Election day. Football game between Juniors and Seniors - br. won-naturally! Thanksgiving--YUM!! YUM!! No school- everybody ate too much. D. A. R. Program-Mrs. Lffie Praley McGuire gave am interesting talk-- Margaret Codding selected as D.A-H. delegate from L. H. S. Pearl Harbor Day--Talk by Mr. Hayes. we had our pictures made for annual. Christman Vacation-- nHurrahn , Semester exams Seniors presented their play,nHoaded For Eden'. A pleasant suprise began with the distribution of the first semester report cards.
