L , w. V 5 ff A sf r- gg: .- Efwiafef Q S ! fwfvn. IN SE K VICE, James V. Marcum entered the Signal Corps in 41. Jimmy was our class president in the Freshman, Sopho- more, and Junior years. He is now trainihg at Vir- ginia Beach. James Tackett went to the Navy in 42'. He was a member of the L. H. S. band and is now serving on a U. S. ship. Willis Chapman was drafted in the Army the first semester of this year. Willis was active in all school activities. He is now stationed at Camp- Shelby, Miss. Herbert Ball, Carl Hayes, and George Hageman, after volunteering in the Navy, left4December 7.- Hub and Doc and Gus were popular among'the student body and took an active part in all school activities. Kenneth Jordan and Tom Vanhorn .graduated semester and left for the Navy January 18. Kenneth and Tom were in the Junior and Senior The last boy to leave our Senior Class was Bromley Adams. Bromley ranked very high Senior test, and had the opportunity of taking ers Training. He is new in Camp Polk, La. first Both plays. in 45' in his Offic- We wish each of you much success in the various branches of Service, and hope you' may soonl return with your purpose accomplished and Peace reigning all over the world.
