W 1 f Y , 'Her if This is the fourth year of the Forest Fire Fighters under the leadership of Mr. George Lancaster. The group is divided into three divisions, the Green Springs, Mineral and Louisa Districts, with group leaders for each. The purpose of this organization is to help keep Virginia free of forest fires. The members are instructed by Joe Vaughan, head fire warden for Louisa County. As in other years, they fight fires in their district in Louisa County. Q N ' A xx ,I ,. g E-tifwsls h-,Xns' - i'si .2 El' .. The Safety Patrol was under the direction of Mr. Bruce Campbell. The following officers were elected to serve thru l95O-51: Harry Walton Meredith, Captain, Doris Jean Gibson and Donald Johnson, Lieutentants. The duties of the Safety Patrol are: Safe loading and unloading of buses, directing traffic on groundsg and directing student movement in case of fire . 45
