Raiders Topple Vikings 42-41 It's hard to describe the disappointment and frustration experienced by a team which faced defeat week after week throughout a long basketball season. But it is in no means easy for a team to bounce back smiling in readiness for another contest. The '64 Raiders fall grudgingly into this category. By being able to post only one victory the luckless Raiders found themselves holding sole possession of last place in league competition. The one win, however, was a particularly gratifying one being the 42-41 triumph over the Valley Vikings. The greatest quality of the Raiders can be best pointed out in the Tournament game against james Wood. At the end of the first quarter the Raiders had been outscored by the stifling margin of 31-4. It would have been quite easy for the Raiders to have thrown in the towel at this time, but our Raiders just aren't like that. The spirited group came roaring back to bring the score to 39-32 at half time. A worthless season?
