F. Queen. In 1915 the structure of the building was completed. In this fi same year three teachers were employed, one teaching the seventh and eighth V grades. The increased enrollment brought forth a demand for some type of social activities. Mr. Queen with the help of the student body formed two Literary so- btw cieties, the Excelsior and the Grant, a Glee club, and a Dramatic club. Four years soon passed and the first class--the Pershing class-graduated in 'qw 1918. At this time Mr. C. V. Davis was principal, and with his advice and that of the class advisor, the first Year Book was published under the name of Echoes 4 This name was changed in 1920 to Memories ll The students continued to come to the Hill of Knowledge in such increas- y N ing numbers that a new addition was made to the building in 1921. With more gli room in the building, the Home Economics Department was added to the list of subjectsg and a very successful year was ,spent under the principalship of Miss gl 1 Anna K. Spees. I The first Gymnasium was built in 1922, and athletics came into full sway. The same year saw the birth of the first Paper to be edited in Lost Creek. Thei month- U' ly paper was named the Lost Creek Reflector. But best of all came the organizing L of the Honor club, boosting all students having an average standing of 85 per cent. C Only students making this average are eligible to the club. The club has over fifty H 1 members at present.. MC The year 1926 brought another increase in the enrollment, and the demand for ici more building. The second addition to the building was made that year. Lost S1 Creek High School was recognized by the North Central Association of Colleges gg' and Secondary Schools, making it a first class junior and Senior High School. ' In 1928 our school entered, for the first time. the ul. L. VV. L. C. fjane Lew. f Weston, and Lost Creekj Literary Contest. Then too, there was added to the .3 course of studies the Commercial course. The Dramatic club has been revived and is the Orchestra organized. Invitations for graduation have been standardized for four years. The faculty has increased to nine and a full time librarian. 14, Prmelpals of Lost Creek H :gh School L14 fu Mr. G. F.
