Yule Tzde Actrvztzes The varxous rooms were decorated for the season There was a small tree In the English room and one LD the Home Ec room The mann attraction was a large tree ln the lower hall do nated by Mr Hoover It was decorated with everythlng from icxcles to hghts The cafeterxa was decorated with boughs of evergreens and bells made of milk bottle caps Glorla In Excelsis and Chustmas Chimes sung by the seventh and eighth opened the all musical assembly program Friday before vacation The group sang jingle Bells Rudolph and Here Comes Santa Claus The gift exchange followed The downstairs Christmas program opened with the group singing Silent Night The Christmas story was told by the fifth and sixth Poems were recited by the third and fourth Gail Thomas accompanied by Doris Petro sang Away In A Manger jan Rawlings played a piano solo The first and second sang jolly jolly Saint Nicholas Bells Bells was re cited by Eldred Klng The program closed by the group singing jingle Bells Here Comes Santa Claus and Rudolph Mzss Jzmmy The Senior and junxor Play MISS jIMMY a hilarious comedy proved to be a smashlng success Well earned praise is extended to Mrs johnson the play director The production staff who helped make thls performance a success consisted of Stage Manager Gerald McGunegIll Publicity Gene I-Ilmellck Kenny Evans and Bxll Trxnder Assistant Director Marilta Thornburg Lighting Carl Baldwin and Glenn Hlmehck Make up Stella Weaver and Betty Terrell and Property Bruce Petro and john Golliher Those of the cast were Louise fLouj Barbara Luellen Florence fFloj Vlfglhlh Metsker Cathernne lKIttyj Conme Rawllngs Doris lDotj Mxldred Prlce Harriet Paula jane McCollum Droopy Qcolored Janltorj Dean Lester Miss Watkins fDean of the Collegej Mary Pangborn jimmy Bill Pangborn and Prof Frazier Carl Baldwin As the curtain rises Lou Is greatly concerned about a date for the prom The gurls all congregate In Lou and Flo s room where they persuade Droopy the colored Janitor to raid the refrigerator The girls are caught as Mlss Watkins comes ln and fmds a horrtble sand wich In the room which is most unsanltary jimmy enters the room and Flo grabs ber blun derbus which was last fired when her Grandpa shot Wald Bill Hickock Harriet and the others tie jimmy up with Flo s sllk hose Dorls suggests a court to try this mask and boner Then Kitty the judge sentences the offender to brlng four of his fraternity brothers and attend the prom The Crimson X girls send a note to his fraternity brothers for dates jimmy ms locked In the closet by Flo all the glrls take a fancy to jimmy and bring him food but he always wants to know Do you have a key? Later Lou stuffs a Perishable jlmmy U1 a trunk while she hopes to send him back to hrs college Droopy comes to take the trunk but it s so lnght he de cides dem moths has done gone and et up all Miss Louise s winter clothes jimmy dresses like a girl and poses as a new nurse Mlss Eltlnge who finds Flo s throat just like the bottom of a blrd cage The gurls discover the lmposter but Professor Frazier the Oxford wonder enters so jimmy poses as Louise s cousin Hoping to escape jimmy plays up to the Professor who proclaims By jove this ls ripping to flnd someone who appreciates good literature A screaming siren announces a squad car As the girls look out Harrxet concludes the polnce are after the girls for kidnapping jimmy Droopy has other Ideas he fears they are hunting for some disappeared chicken therefore, he hides his fine feathered frlend under a waste paper basket jimmy wanting to get to town stages a violent love scene with the Professor telling hlm We must fly away together When the Professor accidentally knocks jim s hat off jxm socks htm and drags hmm into the closet Droopy hears the Professor poundtng on the door and concludes Ghosts Then he appears with a shooghost to scare away the ghosts Miss Watklns discovers from the Professor that Miss Eltlnge lsn t Lou s cousin but She s a man jxmmy talks Miss Watkins out of gettlng the police involved comes back and Lou says for two cents I d kiss you jlrnmy replied Here s ftfty cents lets get going The curtain falls as Droopy s chicken cackles from under the waste basket Square Dance The juniors and Seniors lnvxted the Modoc and Huntsville juniors and Seniors to our square dance party February 8th at the Community Hall In the recelvlng llne were Mary and Gene who Pilmed ldelliifitatlon hearts On the guests The chilly atmosphere was dlspelled by lively games Harold Smith of Dunkirk arranged the group into sets I I C l , . . . . . . . .
