Glick, Clerk: Lee H. Newkirk, Presidentg Knudt K. Andersen, Vice Pres1dent,and Sidney Watson. The schools are but a reflection of the interests of the community in its children. The people of each community are represented at the school by a Board of Trustees, which determines the whole educational policy of that school in accordance with the ideals and standards ofthe people. They are responsible to the community for a well managed educational system. Since t hey work behind the scenes and receive relatively no publicity, little thanks, and absolutely no salary, their true value is often little rec- ognized by the general public. The people in the Corning Union High School District are competently represented by a group which performs its duties in a manner which is of great satisfaction to all. We, the students of Los Molinos High School, wish to take this opportunity to express our thanks to these public spirited men who serve us so unselfishly. This, our 1952 edition of the Cinders, was published through the efforts of five seniors and one junior. These students also write all articles for the high school paper which is published each Wednesday in the Red Bluff Daily News. A Cinders sales contest was sponsored by the staff in the early fall, The senior class took first prize of 32.50 for selling their membership one hundred per cent. The sophomores came second to claim the 31. 50 prize. However, had it not been for the business men who so generously supported us, this annual could not have been published. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to them for the financial help given US. it 1 if 1 HWS Q K KK N K . K KK K : Y ,imwx K1 9. However, his hopes were soon blasted when he started to weigh his aspirants. Most of them were light weight and that immediately dim- med the prospects of winning. ln order to accommodate these light weights, McCamman starred the six man brand of ball.
