We I f HOMECOMING '62 Excited as she was after her election as Homecoming Queen, Gail Weichlein hardly realized that her reign was to be a memorable one. What made it so was the traditional highlight of the vveek's activity, Valleyls Homecoming football game, this year with the San Diego Knights. The teams themselves were uninspir- ing, at least from a glance at their sea- sonal records-both were winless. Spirit from both sides of the microphone had come in for criticism. But an unbeliev- able effort by yell king Randy Dunlap and a well played' game by the Mon- archs ended a two-year loss and marked the return of spirit to a revived group of students. The game is won. James Williams and Howard Briles congratulate one another and every other. Eddie Keyes heads for the promised land with victory in his arms. ..
