MASTER CHIEF ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN SUBMARINES AN DRE LAJAMES GREEN, USN , , X, 1, .W 1 JV Y .nl x f '. .ff CHIEF OF THE BOAT S,IS USS LOS ANGELES QSSN 6881 Command Master Chief Green, the son of a career Army enlisted infantry soldier, was born February 1, 1970 in San Francisco, California. He spent his childhood living in California, Missouri, The Federal Republic Of Germany and eventually South Carolina where in 1988 he enlisted in the Navy. He completed recruit training in Orlando Florida and transferred to Groton, Comiecticut for Basic Enlisted Submarine School. During the next year he would receive Strategic Weapons Navigation Systems Electronics training at the Guided Missile School in Dam Neck, Virginia and at the Trident Training Facility in Submarine Base Bangor, Washington. His previous duty assignments include USS FLORIDA QSSBN 728XBLUEJ, USS NEBRASKA QSSBN 739XBLUEj, Bureau of Naval Personnel!Department of the Navy: Plans and Policy division, Joint Task Force South West Asia Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, USS KEY WEST CSSN 7225, and Submarine Squadron 1. In December he transferred to his current job as the Chief of the Boat USS LOS ANGELES 6885. Command Master Chief Green is authorized to wear the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal with three gold stars, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with four gold stars, the Navy Good Conduct Medal with three bronze stars, the Navy Pistol Marksmanship with a bronze MS , in addition to various unit awards. He also holds an Associates Degree in Information Systems Technology specializing in Networking, CUM LAUDE, from Northern Virginia Community College. COmmand Master Chief Green is married to the former Gladys J. Bowser of Alexandria, Virginia. They have two daughters, Nadia A. Green 18 who is a freshman attending Howard University in Washington D.C. and their newest addition to the family, Armani L. Green who was born in 2005.
