RELIGIQUS LIFE JESUS SAID, lVlen ought always to pray and not turn coward and give up. These are important words for all of us, or He would not have spoken them. But how im- portant are they to us? Just how vital is prayer to our daily life? This is a good question for us to ask, since we are most likely - in our human way - to put other things first. The Apostle Paul charges us to be unceasing in prayer - praying per- severinglyf' l'd like to say a few words to you about prayer, because it is so important in charac- ter building and in daily living. Life is filled with stresses: it may even be that lesson assignments bring about a feeling of stress, especially if you are like me and have to study hard to make a good grade. These stresses must be faced and removed if we are to be happy, healthy, and wholesome. How to meet them and destroy them is the number one challenge. There are many answers. Relaxation through musicnath- letics, hobbies, and social functions' will suggest a few of the ways to relief from stress. But in the complex stresses of modern living, PRAYER is the most effec- tive cure. If prayer is to be effective, it must of necessity include a right relationship to God. It is at this particular point that the church seeks to help. All religious activities of whatever sort are of little value unless they relate themselves to the will and purpose of our Lord Jesus Christ. There- fore, the church seeks to promote and develop a pattern of prayer that will assist in solving the daily problems of all of us. Young people, this church is available to you. Both its Pastor and program are dedi- cated to serve all who come under its influ- ence. We welcome you to join with us in building a better world through the power of prayer and consecrated living. lVlore things are wrought by prayer Than this world dreams of.
