Orchestra, under the baton of Charlie Pyle, pre- sented during the year of l938, a variety of entertainment for the pleasure of the student-body and friends, and in the furtherance of L. A. P. C.'s prestige as a progressive institution. Activities included chapel programs, banquet entertainments, work With the A capella in presenting an Easter Cantata, Christ Victorious, which was Well received by a fine and appreciative audience, and the climax of the year's Work, Around the World in Music, in which more than sixty-three students participated, fifteen countries were well represented, and hundreds of people were thrilled by its scenic beauty. Working in conjunction with the orchestra were The Fiddlers Three, com- posed of Charlie Pyle, Alvin Anhorn and Howard Ashton, and The Three Velvet Voices, a girls' trio combining the talent of Flora Mae Travor, Ruby Archer, and Helen Alford.
