The Los Angeles High School, founded in 1S73, with its one hundred classes, has seen our city grow from about twice the size of the present Los Angeles High School to approximately a million and a quarter inhabitants. The topic of Winter 3.3, A Vision of the Century Class — World Fellowship, is most appropriate. The different countries of the world have been brought together very closely because of rapid transportation by air, land and sea. The telegraph, the telephone, and now the radio, bring the news of the world to every country. Because the problems of one nation become the problems of all nations, there must be real fellowship between countries. Although America must insist upon its own ideals, nevertheless there should be a proper respect for the customs, the traditions, and the ideals of our neighbors. With all of the serious, conflicting attitudes in the world today, you, the students of this memorable class, must have the courage to take a definite part in the affairs of your city and your country. The Faculty joins the principal in thanking you for your co-operation and for your vigorous optimism.
