The club has evening monthly meetings, but its influence extends far beyond the athletic entertainment and movies. The Block LA's functions are felt throughout the school by every in the annual Luau and is responsible for policing games, mak- ing and selling programs, and officiating at meets. The members of the club participate in additional functions, such as the Kickoff Banquet, Spring Date Social, and the Bench- warmer Barbeque, sponsored by the fathers' counterpart of the Block LA. student. The club sponsors one of the top dances of the year FRESHMAN-SOPHOMORE BLOCK LA.
