OF LO LTOS HIGH CHOUL MR. JOHN WILKINS Principal During a crisis there are those who would solve our problems by taking away our freedom to make choices. This freedom is the basis of our democracy in America. As I write this message there is a great wave of sugges- tions to do away with choice of subjects in school because it is believed that all should take a prescribed Course. Such a system would ignore individual differencesg it would not allow the production of such a book as Excalilmrg nor would it permit choices of subjects on the basis of interest. fI5f.l MR. JOSEPH TAMONY Vice-Principal and Dean of Boys VVe know that some fail to make wise choices because they establish inadequate goals for themselves. Setting these goals and learning to choose the course of action which will lead to them 'is part of the process by which we become adult. The Class of 1958 and its members have grown tre- mendously in their abilities to make choices, May you become champions of the right of freedom of choice. JOHN B. WILKINS, Principal MISS FRANCES EWY Dean of Girls MRS. NANCY COZZENS Director of Guidance
