Miss Standridge took over sponsorship of the annual while Miss Parker took control ofthe school news- paper. Mr. Young still played an im- portant part in all three areas of this department as photography supervisor and teacher ofjournalism. K Thejournalism class took their usual trip to a newspaper and television plant in Albuquerque to see in actuality what they had been studying. The Lookout wasn't able to publish as many issues ofthe newspaper as they had expected due to difficulties in the printing of copy. The yearbook, how- ever, increased from 224 pages to 232. Business Department Exeels The Business Education Department of LAHS continued to meet the challenge of rapid change that is taking place in the business world. The department is geared to personal business in- terests ofthe students, the college-bound and the Hterminal' or vocationally-interested student. This year Highlands University brought a 'gMeth- ods of Teaching Business Education class to observe all areas ofthe department and several student teach- ers from colleges and universities have visited the department to observe the advanced techniques and courses offered at LAHS.
