Far Eastern and Russian History joined Sociology and Eco- nomics as electives for seniors. The depart- ment also sponsored a visit to the schools where three department of state speakers spoke on foreign policy. Also sponsored was a quarterly meeting of the New Mexico Council forthe Social Studies during Fe- bruary. Mr. Morris explains a situation involving an economic problem in the United States. Reading the chapter for future discussion is one ofthejobs for students. Mr. Barry 'VIr. Berteloot Mr. Hanson r. Howl Mr. Bertloot, Mr. Shinn, and Mr. Mor- ris sponsored the International Relations Club at the Model U.N. held at the College of Santa Fe.
