' OFFICE FORCE .During lhc school year, lhc office is lhe nucleus of fhe adminisfrafive affairs of the high school. lfs funclions are varied, includ- ing sfudenf discipline and guidance, regisfra- fion, affendance, preparing fhe calendar of fhe year, issuing and recording of grades, preparafion of fhe daily bullefin, and giving ouf permifs. A new funcfion was added fhis year wifh sfudenf aid by fhe Nafional Youfh Adminislrafion being handled enfirely by fhe Chaffey office, bofh as fo invesfigafing and paying of needy sfudenfs. 'The offices of Principal Fischer and Mrs. Mehl, dean of girls, are adiacenf fo fhe spacious business offices. 'Upon complefion of fhe Liberal Arfs build- ing, fhe office will be moved fo new quarfers ihere, leaving ifs presenf locafion, which if has occupied since l925, when fhe adminis- frafive deparfmenfs of fhe high school were cenfralized.
