The newer members learn sailing terms and racing techniques from the more ex- perienced and advanced members of the club. An 'amazing 141 members of the Los Alamitos Ski Club and their skis took their annual outing to Utah for an ex- citing vacation on the slopes. They visited the well known resorts of Park . Through scientific projects and field trips, we try to enrich our knowledge in the scientific field. Photography is a service club for the school and the community. Math Competitors nder the instruction of Mr. Isaacs, the Math Club was able to ,put their skills to the test. The members in competitions, both on- campus and off. They participated in the American Scholastic Mathematics Association, the National Mathematics League, the California Mathematics League, and National Mathematics Invitational Contests. The club also entered contests at Oc- cidental College, Rancho Santiago College, Orange Coast College, and Harvey Mudd College. The main purpose of this intelligent group is to en- courage problem solving and logical thinking in order to solve complicated mathematical problems. The Calculus team is much different than any other club on our campus. It prepared the members for the Advanced Placement Test, which took place in May. It made it easier to study and review. The members participated in the Continen- tal Mathematics League Calculus Contest, also. Mr. Isaacs was also the advisor of this prestigious team.
