S ZZLING NIGHTS UN ER THE M00 October 23, 1986 marked the an- nual Los Alamitos Homecoming game. The spirit level rose as the mighty Giffins took on Cypress High in the long awaited battle of the season. Half-time quickly rolled around as Los Al took the lead and anticipation filled the crowded stands. The five Homecoming Queen nominees were After being crowned Mr. Irresistible, David Alvarez gets escorted around the gym by a Playboy bunny. The 1986-87 Homecoming king and queen, Michelle McLinden and David Alvarez express their gratitude to the crowd. Princess Ella Turrentine and her junior escort Wendy Kjomess. 10 Homecoming 86-87 driven around the track in convertible Mercedes as a spectacular sky diver landed smack on the 50 yard line. Fireworks lit up the sky as Michelle Mcljnden was crowned the 1986- 87 Homecoming Queen. Earlier that day at the pep assembly, David Alvarez was crowned the new Mr. Ir- resistible. The band, drill team, col- orguard, and cheerleaders all added to the excitement of this sizzling event. The varsity football team soon at- tracted the spectator's attention when their red and white uniforms specked the field. Once again, the Griffins con- quered - the final score was 10 to 14.
