Cooch Bornes ond his teom of Griffins begon the gome. The Griffins hod never defected the Esperonzo Aztecs in their historyp they were out to chonge the score. The queen nominees were introduced ond chouffered in convertible Mercedes. The ouxiliory units performed their competition routine while the footboll teom got their motivotion in the locker room. Christine Dennis' nome lit up the sky os she received the title of the 1985-86 Homecoming Queen. Comero floshes went off like firecrockers. Chris Ehler hod been nomed Mr. Irresistible eorlier thot doy ot the Homecom- ing pep ossembly. Fired up ond reody for ploy, the two footboll teoms begon the second-holf ploy. Tockles were broken ond the defense of Esperonzo wos reod - the Griffin's ploy wos excellent. With the score chonging moment by moment, ponic gripped both schools. The crowd cheered ond wotched os the Griffins never gove up. ln the lo'st second of ploy, J.T.
