STUDENTS' UNION PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Another year has come and gone , and as I think back and reflect on the past year I realize that this has been one of the best. When First approached about being president I had many doubts, but I thoroughay enjoyed every minute of it. I was particularlay pleased with the participation in every activity that was coordinated through out the year. There seemed to be a lot of enthusiasm from the student body. I would like to thank them for this as the activities wouldn't have been a success without their co-operation. I especilly enjoyed working with my council as well as the teachers and the student body. A very special thank-you must go out to Phyllis Kristel, Shelley Wegner, Dianne Koberstein, Shauna Thompson, Tom Krawiec, Jody Stuchbury, Janine Beck, Dave Zubot, The advisors Mr. Shipton and Mrs. Roblin, and Mr. Rudd. Everyone did their share and gave their encouragement, ideas and support in all the students' union undertook. This year has been fantastic for me and I hope it was just as good for everyone else. Congratulations to my fellow graduates and I hope your dreams come true. Shannon Beck EDITOR'S MESSAGE The yearbook staff has worked very hard in putting together the 1983-84 yearbook. Rene Kwossek, Lori Koch, Barb Churchill, Loreen Toma, and Patricia Prociuk worked on the layouts while our photographers Shauna Ronaisson, Susie Hayes, and Gordon Gallatin were busy snapping pictures as fast as they could. Tracey Bozak and Shannon Treleaven worked hard on the typing, and Rebecca Dodgson dashed around the school, finding out how many clubs there were. A special thanks goes to Assistant Editor Tracey Vander-Molen and Secretary-Treasurer Cathy Riddle. Without them, the yearbook would have been in more chaos than it already was. There are three teachers who deserve our gratitude. Mr. Dunford and Mrs. Jackson were our yearbook advisors and they put in many hours of work showing us how to do layouts. Mr. Bugnet, a very, very patient man taught our typists fand mel how to use his computer, and without him we would have never completed this yearbook. These three teachers should be thanked by everyone, because they put in a lot of work as well as the rest of us. I learned a lot while being editor of the yearbook. The most important lesson I learned was that the teachers were just as bad as the students for handing in assignments. I had to remind the teachers CMr. Schabert and Mr. Sherridenj constantly to give me the sports write-ups that they had promised. Mr. Rudd and I set a deadline for his message, and every day he was late he owed the yearbook club a dollar. It was not too much of a surprise that with the finished message came a chech of 520. I must congratulate Mrs. Lamothe and Mr. Rondeau,as well as Mr. Bouyea on their promptness. This is a job where one never stops learning. The yearbook staff has survived a year of disappearing pictures, spotted mug shots that had to be replaced, and the days that everything seemed to go wrong. We hope you enjoy this yearbook, We captured as many memorable moments that we could. When you flip through the pages, remember that a lot of hard work went into making the 1983-84 yearbook. I would like to wish Shannon Treleaven, Dave Reschke, and Dan Prociuk ,next year's editor and photographers luck.lt's a huge amount of responsibility with little recognition, but I know they can handle it.
