BASKETBALL HOMECOMING 1988 The year of 1988 was the first year Loretto has held a Basketball homecoming. Our Mustangs played Summertown on February 16. The girls kept up their winning season while the boys just couldn't pull it off. Stephanie Gooch was our homecoming queen, she was escorted by Shannon Burks RIGHT. The homecoming activities included an ugly contest and a mini-float contest. This season there were five senior girls on the Lady Mustangs. (Left-right) Candy Story, Carla Keener, Melanie Cotton, Kim Davis, and Sherry Richardson. Shannon Burks and Dan Henkel were the only seniors to play this year. 4

The Senior class carries out the tradition in Mrs. Newton's English Class by the play, Macbeth. Bryan Weaver discovers the easy way to do (Left-right) Carla Keener, Tebra Gieske, and Candy Story act out a witch scene in front of the Mathematics is the only way to do it. class. Dress up day at Halloween aroused a big suspicion at who was who. Mr. Green is tickled at Daniel McMasters who threatens everyone with his ax and scares them with his face. Harley Simbeck is getting ready to compete in the Miss Ugly LHS contest, where a boy dresses as a girl and is escorted by a girl dressed as a boy. 3

BOT- TOM RIGHT One of the entries for the mini-float contest was the French float pulled by Philip Brown.
