FOREWORD This yearbook portrays the students of Loretto High School involved in the many activities of the 1967-68 school year. It is al- so a book of memories: an exciting football or basketball game, homecoming, friendly conversations in the halls between classes, and finally the fondest memory of all for Seniors, graduation. It is our sincere hope that the 68 Mustang will capture these mem- ories between its covers to be recalled by our fellow students in future years. Now that the yearbook has been finished and our class has been spread to the far reaches of eternity, I would like to take time to thank those who made this yearbook possible. First of all I would like to thank the faculty of Loretto High and especially our be- loved sponsors, Mrs. Beckman and Mr. Simbeck. It is really hard to believe what time and work that they gave and did for our class and our yearbook. Next I would like to thank the members of the staff who gave so willingly of their time. These members include Danny Richardson, classes editor, and staff; Clyde Hand, sports editor, and staff; Betty Lamprecht, activities editor, and staff; Betty Newton, or- ganizations editor, and staff; Sandra Terry and Bruce Landtroop, business managers, and staff; Dessa Taylor, Maxine Cole, and Joyce Garner, typists; and last of all Mac Brown, Di- rector of Photography, and staff, who captured on film all the events of the school year. I would like also to thank you the student body of Loretto High, for without you there would be no moments to remember at LHS. In conclusion I would like to say the “the torch has passed”, and I sincerely hope that the ’69 editor will enjoy the same cooperation as I, the 68 editor, have enjoyed.
