Anima-the soul, the spirit of Loretto. A soul born of unity, love, and regard for the honor and the interests of its members. In this spirit lived a Family, the Holy Family of Nazareth. We dedicate this our first yearbook to that Family, with the prayer that they will help us to imitate and perfect that spirit here at Loretto and in our future lives. To the Very Reverend Joseph T. McGucken, Bishop of Sacramento, we of Loretto wish to ex- press our sincere loyalty and appreciation. Mother M. St. Catharine Principal Religion IV Algebra I, II Geometry Mother M.
