The Bridge is comp1eted--Gradua- tion is near at hand. With graduation the door is opened and we step out onto the Bridge of Life. So, commences our long trek in search for perfect happi- ness. Crossing the Bridge will be tedious and sometimes not to our liking, many times we will want to jump over and join the flowing river of lost soulsg but we have an advantage over others--we are graduates of a Catholic High School. This distinc- tion gives us the strength to persevere. At the end of the Bridge is the at- tainment of our goal, perfect happi- K ness with God. The light shining be- fore us guides us along the narrow and hazardous bridge of life. This light is the Catholic Church with the Pope at its head. The power producing the light is Catholic Education. So, not only does the Mackinac Bridge stand as a monument to the ful- filled dreams of men but also it re- presents the Bridge between God and ourselves which sooner or later we must cross. The stronger our Catholic Education the stronger the Bridge and the more sure we are ofcrossing over it.
