If they don ' t agree with your own high estimation of yourself, don ' t condemn them as ignorant or jealous. Suppose you aren ' t chosen lead for the operetta. Show your good will, nevertheless, and put forth your best efforts to work with the group. When Sports Day rolls around, go play your baseball game or run your race with love in your heart for your opponents. You are supposed to love them, you know. But there you go, crying because the decision went against you and spearing the poor winning team with black looks for the rest of the day. Then comes the prom. Your dress is just gorgeous! Then, as you walk in, suddenly, before your eyes, appears the very same dress — on another girl. Don ' t hate her for it. She didn ' t duplicate your dress on purpose. And if she looks better in it than you, acknowledge the fact. I made you both, and I like you the way you are. Be satisfied. I am. Recognize the good in others, for in doing so you grow spiritually and can humbly recognize your own good, which glorifies Me, your Father in Heaven.
