The Loretto trio of melodies begins with an Orchestra rehearsal in 414 time with Maggie Riba at the piano. Orchestra members are fat the right? Elvira Alzaga, Guillermina Bunsow, Elva Knopf, Maria Luisa Torres, lean Russell, Eileen Drifka, Beatriz Delgado and Frances Ratermann. Frances,incidentally, plays with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. Rich harmony is provided by Sister Sheila who directs the Loretto Chorus fat rightl. During the Silver Iubilee celebrations they sang, Lift Up Your Heads. The chorus also learns lighter numbers, such as a medley called Looking for the Lost Chord. Starting from C are the girls taking Music History. They discuss harmony under the direction of Sister M. Ioanna and also learn through classical recordings. The class Cat lettl is Rosa Caballero, Secretary-Treasurer, Cynthia Hines, Betty Kelcy, Antoinette Ham- mock: Tillie Nesbitt, Margaret Garcia, Alicia Chavez, Mary Ellen Carrillo, President, Margaret Manning, Olga Martinez, Vice-Presi- dent, Emma Iiron, Elia Perez, Irene Clark, and Maria Elena Acosta, seated.

They learn the idioms and acquire an accent while discussing plans for various activities.
