Principal? Message In looking back over the past I think it quite appropriate that I take this means of expressing a word of thanks to our School Board Superintendent and the Patrons for the wonderful facilities that have been provided for the Elementary School. The new facilities tend to greater efficiency in our work. we of the faculty pledge to do a better job of teaching. The HORNET STAFF is to be congra- tulated for the fine job they have done in the 1953 edition of our yearbook. Its pages faithfully re- cord events of this year in the Lorenzo Schools. May each of you achieve your greatest ambitions is my sincere wish. Very truly yours, C -4444 -' John C. Jenkins f , 1 ,-X ff. I '. . ,il H Y I , 1' 4 f'- Z, if iff z' l 'ff' 'AQ J ' I deem it an honor and a privilege to be asked to write a brief message to the HORNET staff and the student body. I commend the HORNET staff and the Editor for this excellent record of our school year activities. I know that a lot of work and many hours have been put in by a good many stu- dents. The student body should take their hats off to its HORNET STAFF, I would like to say to each and every student, that during your years in school you are forming the mold from which your moral and educational character will be cast. Make the mold a true one by taking every opportunity to improve and build better character traits. Respectfully yours, Ek ,,. High School Principal

Superinfcudmfs s Message TO MEMBERS OF THE HORNET USTAFFH Dear Friends: Thank you for the privilege to be quoted in the 1953 HQRNET. I should like to say what I think about the Hcrewn called on to produce the annual this . Z2 year. The Staff, the Editor 'J especially, has been diligent. suck and faithful in every way to do a good job. No doubt but that the school will be proud of the finished product. . Many people do not know how much hard work is re- quired to get this done and on time. Many may never take time to be grateful to their fellow students for doing the task. But any member of a staff in previous years or any member of a staff to follow you in later years will surely appreciate your efforts. The school annual is an important contribution to the school spiritg it furnishes an opportunity for training for those who do the workg it makes a permanent record of important events of the school yearg and it is an excellent means of keeping the community aware of school importance. With very best wishes for now and ever, I am Yours sincerely, Mo. W. O. Cherry
