EDlToR's MESSAGE Through careful planning and systematic work your l95l-52 HORNET Staff has sought to build for Lorenzo High an attractive and memorable yearbook. It has pur- posed to include a complete recording of the year's ac- tivities. The HORNET Staff wishes to leave with Lorenzo High School the wish that she may continue to grow and that the student body will continue to set high standards of citizenship as it has done in the past. The Staff wishes for the student body, both collec- tively and individually, the best of success, and that each student may find something in this volume of the HORNET to make his love for L.H.S. everlasting. I shall ever be grateful to members of the staff for their loyal and diligent service. Q N 'W Coy Hargrove

Y TO MEMBERS OF THE YEARBOOK STAFF AND THEIR SPONSOR Dear Friends: Because of your loyalty and willingness to accept a difficult responsibility as a matter of personal service to your fellow students, you have exemplified a spirit so essentially necessary in building a great institution of Vlearning opportunity' for all who may come that way. Such an institution is made great, not by size nor by Nmarble hallsn but by the spirit nborn and bredn in the hearts of its personnel. In years to come you may confidently enjoy the mem- ory of having been on your Hschool annual staffn because membership of such a group is nearly always composed of good citizens and good students who are willing to per- form service over and beyond the call of duty. My very best personal wishes go with each of you. Yours sincerely, MO. 8 H. O. Cherry SUPERINTENDENTS MESSAGE
