lt was a peaceful and quiet June day as 1 started out to the airport to get my ticket to New York. 1 bought my ticket and went to get in the plane. lt was just ready to take off so I got in and was comfortably seated with a magazine when the stewardess came by to see if we were all comfortable. When she came to me l looked up into a familiar face. lt was none other than one of my old class- mates Ethel Nedrow. Ethel likes her job very much and she told me she has been in lots of places that she always wanted to go to. When the plane got to New York, Ethel and I had made plans to go visit Lordstown and to try to get all the seniors together again when l got back from my trip. So saying good-hy l went on my way. I went to my hotel and registered, then decided to go shopping. As I walked into a store, someone came out in a hurry knocking me down. Sputtering mad, I jumped up to give this person a piece of my mind, when l recognized him as Bud Harrison, the only boy in our graduating class of 1953. Bud and I decided to go to lunch and talk over old times. Bud is now in the Army Air Force and looks very sharp in his uniform. Bud likes the Air Force very much and ls thinking about making it his career. 1 told Bud that Ethel and I had decided to get the class together and vlslt Lordstown and Bud agreed. l told him when and went on my way. l decided to go home the next day, stopping in Maryland for a while. I got to Maryland and decided to eat at Cozy Corners. I went in and sat down and just then l looked up to see another of my old classmates Janet Taylor, or rather Janet Biggs, and her husband Earl, and a small boy and girl. Janet and Earl came over and started talking. They were surprised to see me. Soon l found out that Janet and Earl had gotten married shortly after graduation and they now have two darling children. l told them also about the plans for us all to get together and they promised to come. After saying good-by l continued on my way. 1 was just leaving when I remembered Janet telling me that Mary Jo was now head nurse at the Cleveland Hospital. So l decided to go see her. When I got there, I was told that Mary Jo was on an important case, so 1 decided to wait. Soon I heard voices and l recognized one as Mary Jo. She came in looking very nice in her uniform. 1 went over and started talking to her ard she told me she had just had a call from Yvonne Cheeks, another of our classmates. It seems Yvonne had a cold and thought it was pneumonia so she called the hospital and asked someone to come out. Yvonne and Jackie are now married and have a 20 room house. I got the address from Mary Jo and went to see her. Her house is very nice and after telling me to take my shoes off so I wouldnlt get dirt on her white rug she invited me in. Her house is very lovely and they are very happy. I told Yvonne about the meeting of our old classmates and with the promise that she would vlslt me soon I returned home to wait for August when we would all meet. Yvonne planned to go and visit the other three of our classmates and invite them. lt was a pleasant surprise meeting Grace. She was the last person on earth I expected to see. She sure made my cold better. Some weeks have passed since 1 have seen Grace. I have decided to take her up on her invitation and visit her. So 1 went to Florida to visit Grace. 1 had her address so I set out to look her up. She lives out by the Everglades where she and Delano were married.
