A',Class History Grade One--It was the beginning of another fall and of course an- other school year. It was the first day of school in September of 1941. The children were all standing around puzzled and frightened but the teacher Mrs. Spitler soon had everything under control. Enrolled this first year were: Kenny Harshman, ,Paul Loudon,B1ll McNaughton, Ralph Johnson, Joe Quimby, Robert Kennedy, Ray Best, Ruth Burke, Jessie Beale, Freddie Oaks, Bud Harrison, Leroy Sheldon Tommy Murray, Ethel Nedrow, Mary Jo Johnson, Donna Kennedy, Helen Oller, Dorothy Giovannone, and Glen Corry. Grade Two--This year we were altogether different, not the same frightened children of last year. We were beginning to think we knew something about school, even though our teacher, Mrs, Hicks had a different idea. This year we had one entry, Yvonne Cheeks, while Jessie Beale, Ruth Burke, and Kenny Harshman left us. Grade Three--We could just barely wait for school to start because we knew there were new readers, With interesting stories and plays waiting for us. Mrs. Hanny taught us to tell time and we felt we had gained much knowledge. Shirley Lytle, Janet Prust, and Grace Hall joined our happy class, and Ralph Johnson, Robert Kennedy, Donna Kennedy, and Helen Oller left the class. Grade Four--Boy, but we were big kids now or at least thought so. We got report cards like the high school and were graded with letter grades instead of U's and S's. Mrs. Fenstermaker began to teach us the multiplication tables this year, and what a time she had. Janet Taylor, Sandy Smith, and Gordon West entered our class. Grade Five--This year our class was divided into two groups part of having Mrs. Fenstermaker and the rest under Mrs. Crouch. We con- tinued studing the multiplication tables. Delores Dinion, Hannah Perry, and Dolfus Parten entered our class, and Shirley Lytle, Janet Prust, and Freddie Oaks left us. Grade Six--This year was an exciting year because we were working toward Junior High school. We also looked forward to'the picnic which we attended on the last day of school. Leroy Sheldon, Sandy Smith, Ulen Cory, and Dolfus Parten left us. Grade Seven--We were very excited at the thought of being upstairs. Imagine the shock we recieved when we got last changing classes.I think it took about a week and an enumerable amount of lectures fron the teachers before we finally learned how to follow the schedule. Our teacher, Mrs. Aiken, helped us through our troulbe that year. Our enrollment was Bud Harrison, Yvonne Cheeks, Ethel Nedrow, Mary Ann Biggs, Hannah Perry, Ray Best, Grace Hall, Mary Jo Johnson, Joe Quimby, Janet Taylor, Gordon West, Dorothy Giovannone, Delores Binion, Paul Loudon, Kenny Bright, Jack Marlnkovlch, and Arlene Greedy. Joe Quimby left us. MGG-radeGGEight-f:'l3his year -wehwatched' the seventh grade make the same mistakes we once made. It seemed funny to us, although serious to them. Our teacher again this year was Mrs. Aikens. I think she must have liked us. Uiane Ahrendts, Judy Bailey, Carol Carter, and Earl Biggs entered the class period. Arlene Groody left us.
