Il Lorain High School again maintained a high scholastic footfball standing by ,- I successfully playing thru the most difficult schedule the local school has confronted I I in recent years. Starting the season with but three letter men in footfball togs, the I I prospective candidates developed up to expectations and lost but one game during 'I I the year. - I I With the heavy 1926 schedule it was impossible to point the team for the an' I nual LorainfElyria game, but each game required their best brand of footfball. In- I juries during the season played their part by making the outcome of the smaller Ir I games so uncertain that every game during the schedule proved to be close and inf I Q teresting. Perhaps the outstanding victories of the year were the Warren and If I Youngstown Rayen games. The win over Warren was the first since the meet' I Q ing of the two schools, while the defeat of Rayen was the only setfback on their I . schedule. He is now at the head of the Cost Department of a large manufacturing company at Cleveland and is drawing a salary of S3 000.00 per year. His training at Oberlin has given him a good start in the business world and his present salary will be increased from year to year as he gains experience. The Business College at Oberlin has been the means of starting thousands of young men and women on the road to success. ' . WITH THE UNION TRUST AT CLEVELAND Annette Southam who completed the Business and Stenographic Courses last year now holds a very good position with the Union Trust Company at Cleveland. This is the largest bank in Ohio. Miss Southam is well pleased with her position and with the training at Oberlin which fitted her for it. PROMINENT POSITION WITH NEW YORK, INSURANCE CO. Esther Andrews, a graduate of Oberlin College, who later fitted herself for business at the Oberlin Business College, has worked her way up until she now holds an official position with the American Reserve Insurance Company, located at 85 Johns Street, New York City. That she has developed into a capable business woman is shown by the fact that she helped organize the Company with which she is connected and sold nearly 3100,- 000.00 stock in it. She draws a large salary. ONLY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES ADMITTED The Oberlin Business College is one of the few schools of its kind in the entire country which admits only High School graduates and is said to be the only Business College in Ohio with the college entrance requirement. This makes it possible to offer stronger courses of training than is possible in schools where many of the pupils have had little and in some cases no High School training. That the high school grad- uates of Ohio appreciate the opportunity to study in a business school of college grade is shown by the fact that high school graduates from all parts of Ohio are going to Oberlin for business training. Graduates from over sixty Ohio high schools are at' tending the O. B. C, this year, including asnumber from Lorain High School. xy w wazwrws,w.1xwwnwu.w:Lu1:LimLuuwmliwrw k'lJ.VA'Lk'l LWIILUJLUWLKUJLUJJLWL'lUA!Wl.'.k'lJLKULQISWIJWLLQRLKU-EXQBWJXW JLKUSKUJKELLH I J 9 I mfrmYa1W r?i'1. m1rr 1 1rm1ix'1r 1'r 1rm1rm mm s 1rm1Trm1rnN ' rrmvmmi - mm ' 1 1.
