Spartan Sunshine Day brightened everyone's face Spring Quarter. It began with a raucous teacher auction, where you could buy a mac- rame holder, a night of bowling, a horo- scope, a pizza party, or the chance to drop your lowest grade. Then it was into the gym for the pizza-eating content, tricycle race, and bubblegum blowing contest. Finally everyone poured into the stadium, where the torch was passed by each class President and lit by Dave Burns lopposite page, rightl. Here the Sophs, in a stunning coup, wont the tug-of-war and chariot race. The sunny day climaxed in a wild and wet Water Balloon Toss, with half the school on the field--and soaked. It was all brought to us by Berni Mihalic lleft, here with Tim Diamound announcing eventsl and the Student Government Activities Committee.
